An alien spacecraft is detected approaching Earth, while unknown to us, their force has arrived in the Kuiper Belt and has started mining a dwarf planet to prepare for an invasion. However, Earth’s nations are unable to unite and respond to the arrival. Instead, transnational groups of like-minded political, military, and scientific leaders create covert channels to coordinate a response.
The aliens’ intentions are unclear, leading to factions emerging with different motivations, such as hope, fear, or greed. As the player, you will control one of these factions:
- The Resistance: Their goal is to form an alliance of nations to mount a coordinated defense.
- Humanity First: They pledge to eliminate the aliens and anyone who sympathizes with them.
- The Servants: They worship the aliens and believe that they will solve all of the world’s problems.
- The Protectorate: They advocate for negotiating surrender as the only way to avoid annihilation.
